Our Goal

Load Screen News publishes evergreen explainers about sports and racing video games: beginner guides, game modes, racing techniques, settings and series histories. Our goal is accuracy and clarity. This page explains how we choose topics, how we check facts and what we do when we get something wrong.

How We Choose Topics

We focus on questions players genuinely ask and that stay relevant beyond a single release or patch: how a mode works, what a setting does, how to drive a better racing line, or how a long-running series developed. We avoid rumours, leaks and content that depends on this week’s ratings update. We do not publish betting or gambling content, and when we explain team-building modes that include card packs, we do so neutrally, without advice on spending, pack opening or trading for profit.

Research and Fact-Checking

Release dates, platforms, developer and publisher credits are checked against official sources and established references.
Controls, modes and settings are described from official game guides, publisher websites and patch notes, and we avoid edition-specific numbers that are likely to change.
Where facts can change, such as which edition is current or whether a game is still supported online, we state the point in time they refer to, for example “as of 2026”.
Sales figures, awards and records are included only when we can verify them with a reliable source.
If we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out. We do not invent quotes, statistics or personal play experiences.

Sources

Each article ends with a list of the main sources we used, linked so readers can check them. We prefer primary sources such as developer and publisher websites and official announcements, supported by reputable reference works and gaming outlets.

Use of AI Tools

AI tools assist our team with research organisation and drafting. Every article is then fact-checked against sources and edited by a person before publication. Responsibility for what we publish rests with our editorial team, not with any software.

Authorship

Articles are published under the pen name Jordan Pike, which represents our small independent editorial team. We do not attribute credentials or experience to the pen name that we do not have.

Corrections

If you find an error, please email [email protected] with the article link and, ideally, a source. We review every report. Factual errors are corrected promptly, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the update. We also revisit evergreen articles when a new edition substantially changes a mode, control scheme or setting.
